You will be picked up from your accommodation by our air-conditioned four-wheel drive vehicle. We travel north along scenic the Captain Cook Highway towards the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park. We will cross the Daintree River by a unique cable ferry and enjoy the wonderful tropical scenery.

We the continue on the 4WD only Bloomfield Track. This will take you through tropical rainforest, lush mountains and river crossings. We enjoy lunch at the famous Lion’s Den Hotel (est. 1875). We then continue to the unique Black Mountain, which today is still surrounded in mystery and local legends.

On arriving in Cooktown we enjoy the 360 degree views from Grassy Hill of the Endeavour River, Cooktown and the Coral Sea. We also have some free time to explore Cooktown and its historical streets.

In the afternoon we leave Cooktown by the inland road, which travels through the Palmer River goldfields and farming land. We stop in route to enjoy an evening meal (optional) at the Mt Molloy Hotel.

Our day of discovery ends as we return you to your local accommodation.

Day 1

Day 1 (Tropical Horizon Tours).
You will be picked from your accommodation as we begin out tour to discover the World Heritage listed rainforests of Cape Tribulation & Mossman Gorge.

We route we enjoy a 1 hour cruise on the mighty Daintree River where our guide will take us along the river while looking for local wildlife such as the crocodile, tree snakes, water birds and tropical butterflies.

We enjoy a cold buffet lunch at the Coconut Beach Resort - Cape Restaurant and Bar. Time to enjoy the pool and explore the beach at the resort. After lunch we continue to Cape Tribulation and to an amazing lookout where we see the beauty of the rainforest and reef coming together.

We then continue to your overnight accommodation at Cape Trib Beach House.

Day 2
In the morning you will be picked up from your accommodation by Adventure North. We then continue on the 4WD only Bloomfield Track.
